HOW TO PREPARE
FOR
MIXING & MASTERING
※ all track must be analyzed and approved before mixing/mastering ※
-ONLINE MIXING-
In order to ensure the best possible result from our online mixing service
we ask you to send us the tracks only in wave files
STEP 1
Be sure not to go over -5dbfs on each single track to avoid clipping
STEP 2
make sure that all the single track are properly named (kick, snar ,vocal ect)
STEP 3
be sure that all the tracks start from the same point
and be sure that you have a Margin of 3bars at the end of your track
STEP 4
make sure that you don't add any EQ, compression or effect on your tracks
STEP 5
The pan of every single track should be in the center
STEP 6
All tracks should be exported at 44.1 khz 24bit MINIMUM
STEP 7
put all the files of the song into a zip folder
and
Label the folder with the name of the artist, the name of song and the bpm
STEP 8
If you have any special request or references
to other songs to improve the online mixing result,
please list them in a note and add it to the zip file
STEP 9
upload the zip file to our web host
STEP 10
sit back and relax and we will do our magic and send you back the mix
-ONLINE MASTERING-
In order to ensure the best possible result from our online mixing service
we ask you to send us the tracks only in wave files
STEP 1
Make sure that the level of your Track Peaks somewhere between
-6 and -3dB (do not peak over -3db!)
If the Peak Level of your Track is higher than -3dB, it is best to reduce
each tracks level rather than to just drop the master fader
STEP 2
Eliminate any unwanted noise within your Mix
STEP 3
Try to keep your Mix Clean and Dynamic
STEP 4
Leave some silence at the beginning and at the end of your Track (3 Bars)
STEP 5
Make sure that there are no effects on your Master Bus
If there is something on your Master Bus that you think you cannot live without,
send your Mastering Engineer 2 versions
A No FX Mix and an FX Mix and let your Mastering Engineer know what the effect is
STEP 6
Bounce your track in the Format that you worked in ( 44.1 khz 24bit MINIMUM )
if you worked at 48 khz 24 bit then bounce your track at 48 khz 24 bit
if your track is at 44.1khz 24bit then bounce your track at 44.1khz 24bit
ifyour track isfw
STEP 7
make sure not to Normalize or to apply any Dither when you Bounce or Export
STEP 8
put the song or songs into a zip folder
and
Label the folder with the name of the artist, the name of the song and the bpm
Think about realistic and relevant reference tracks that you might be able to suggest
to your Mastering Engineer
STEP 9
upload the zip file to our web host
STEP 10
sit back and relax and we will do our magic and send you back the MASTER
